Unwinding Technology Obligations When Strategic Alliances Falter

Technology start-ups can often be more innovative than established companies which have greater resources. As a result, many large companies are interested in forming strategic alliances with smaller companies that have developed innovative cutting edge technology. Recognizing this potential revenue and product stream, some large companies have even opened innovation centers in Silicon Valley to give their employees an opportunity to learn from entrepreneurs.
