What USAID Contractors Need to Know About the June 2018 Amendment to AIDAR 752.7013 to Prevent Sexual Exploitation and Abuse

Partners Robert Tompkins and David Black co-authored an article for the Professional Services Council's International Development Conference. Mr. Tompkins and Mr. Black focus on the new requirement for contractors after the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) announced its zero-tolerance policy for sexual misconduct, including harassment, exploitation or abuse of any kind among USAID staff or implementing partners. The AIDAR clause provided the USAID with a policy to deal with contractor employees who fail to comply with the new standard of conduct. Mr. Tompkins and Mr. Black provided steps for employees to follow to prevent such abuse and exploitation by employees working abroad.
