Bob is a co-founder of Prairie Capital Advisors, Inc. The firm designs and implements customized ownership succession strategies, including private sales, management buyouts and ESOPs. Prairie has worked on hundreds of ownership transition transactions. Bob is a frequent speaker on matters involving valuations, ESOPs, and succession planning.
Bob Auer, Managing Director, KPMG Corporate Finance (Chicago, IL)
Bob joined KPMG Corporate Finance in 1994. His corporate finance experience includes advising companies on M&A, divestitures, valuations and strategic assessments. Prior to joining KPMG Corporate Finance, Bob was a Director with Duff and Phelps Private Markets in its family business practice. During his tenure there, Bob was involved with many family businesses developing and implementing exit strategies that would best suit the goals of the business owner.
Tom Kinasz, Partner, Holland & Knight (Chicago, IL)
Tom is a Partner in the Business Law Section in the Chicago office of Holland & Knight. Mr. Kinasz concentrates his practice on counseling organizations, individuals and businesses on a wide range of federal and state taxation issues, including income tax planning, wealth conservation, executive compensation and charitable giving. Mr. Kinasz is frequently involved in the negotiation, planning and documentation of mergers, acquisitions, dispositions, restructurings and reorganizations of various types of business entities. He also has substantial involvement in planning the organization, structure and operation of various forms of business entities such as partnerships, corporations and limited liability companies.
