Litigation and Dispute Resolution attorney William Gould spoke at the Food and Drug Law Institute's Enforcement, Litigation, and Compliance Conference. This event featured various legal professionals and top government agency officials, who discussed how they are staying compliance-and inspection-ready as the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) ramps up inspections. Mr. Gould's panel, titled "Enforcement and Charging Theories Outside of the FDA: A Theranos Case Study," centered on the Theranos trials and subsequent cases. The session looked at recent trends in enforcement outside of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FDCA), including charging theories, impacts of parallel enforcement and areas of risk for companies.
