Collaborating with Colleagues Across Cultures for a Shared Purpose
Working alongside colleagues from different backgrounds strengthens our firm and the services we provide for clients. Corporate attorney Luis Rubio Barnetche, executive partner of Holland & Knight's Mexico City office, reflects on his experience collaborating with lawyers internationally and the value of bringing together the perspectives of multiple cultures.
In this video, he also shares the pride he feels in his Mexican heritage and discusses the qualities it represents, including resilience, family and community.
Luis Rubio Barnetche: I am very proud to be Mexican and of my Mexican heritage, and the values that come with it, including resilience, strong relationships, family ties and the sense of community.
Much of my career has involved working closely with colleagues and clients throughout the United States, which has given me a unique appreciation for the strengths of both cultures and the value of bringing them together. One of the things that I value most about Holland & Knight is that it recognizes that when talented people from different backgrounds work together with a shared purpose, we create a much stronger firm, deliver a better outcome for our clients and build a place where people truly want to grow.
