Holland & Knight Wins Higher Salaries for Federal Judges

Two Holland & Knight attorneys won a high-profile lawsuit filed on behalf of two senior judges for the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Regulatory and Federal Litigation Partner Lynn Calkins represented the judges on a pro bono basis to overturn Congress's denial of judicial pay raises. The ruling raised the judges salaries from $174,000 to $197,00 and will likely reset the current salaries for all federal judges.
