Law Firms Kick Off Months-Delayed Campus Recruiting

Partner Renee Covitt was quoted in a Modern Lawyer article, published by Law360 Pulse, about how law firms are kicking off their summer associate interviews this month after significant delays. Pushed back from the beginning of the fall semester due to COVID-19, the majority of law schools are beginning to host virtual on-campus interviews for students starting in the middle of January. The January timing has brought some challenges for firms as they are competing fiercely for top talents, while also juggling other obligations that arise at the beginning of the year, said Ms. Covitt.

"The quicker you get an offer out there, the more likely you're going to get the best candidate," she said. "So we really need to be on our feet and make offers as soon as we realize that there is a candidate that we like."
