Lawmakers Take Stab at Energy Permitting as Election Looms

The bill, introduced by leaders of the Senate Committee on Energy Resources, seeks to expedite the permitting process for fossil fuel, renewable energy, and transmission projects. Ms. Craddock noted that the bill's most significant impact would be its attempt to streamline the resolution of project disputes, enabling a more efficient development process.
"The biggest policy change is just trying to put an end date on any disputes over the project so they can actually get in the ground," she said.
