Susan Booth to Receive Award for Contributions to Los Angeles Real Estate Community

LOS ANGELES – August 07, 2012 – Holland & Knight partner Susan Booth will be a recipient of Commercial Real Estate Women's (CREW) 2012 "Women at the Top" award, in recognition of the impact she has made on the Los Angeles commercial real estate community.

CREW is a professional organization dedicated to promoting the development and advancement of women in the commercial real estate industry. Each year, a panel of real estate leaders oversees the judging process for the organization's award program and selects winners based on key factors, including excellence in professional expertise, career accomplishments, contributions to real estate and community involvement.

"I am humbled by this award," said Ms. Booth. "Previous winners were phenomenal leaders who made invaluable contributions to the commercial real estate community. I am honored to be among this group. I thank CREW for supporting me, but, more importantly, for all of the assistance and encouragement it provides to women, both within and outside of the real estate industry."

As head of Holland & Knight's West Coast Real Estate Practice Group and a member of the firm's Director's Committee, Ms. Booth's work includes counseling banks, real estate investment trusts, developers and other clients on a variety of commercial real-estate matters, including the purchase and sale of property and loans, joint ventures, and secured lending transactions for portfolio and commercial mortgage-backed securities. She is a co-chair of the 2012 Benjamin S. Crocker Symposium on Law and Business, secretary of the Los Angeles County Bar's Real Estate Section and a mentor to young professional members of the Urban Land Institute.   

CREW's "Women at the Top" awards will be presented at a black-tie gala on October 18 at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel.
