Holland & Knight Partner Kwamina Thomas Williford Named Leadership Council on Legal Diversity Fellow
WASHINGTON. (January 26, 2017) – Holland & Knight Partner Kwamina Thomas Williford has been selected to represent the firm as a member of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) 2017 class of Fellows, participating in a landmark program created to identify, train and advance the next generation of leaders in the legal profession.
Launched in 2011, the LCLD Fellows program works by identifying high-potential attorneys from diverse backgrounds and setting them on the path to leadership of their organizations. During his or her Fellow year, each honoree embarks on a learning program that includes in-person conferences, training in the fine points of legal practice, and peer group projects to foster collaboration and build relationships. The goal is to produce a generation of attorneys with strong leadership and relationship skills who are committed to fostering diversity within their individual institutions and the profession at large.
LCLD is a national organization of more than 265 corporate chief legal officers and law firm managing partners. The Fellows initiative is one of several launched by LCLD since the organization’s founding in 2009. Other programs include a law school mentoring initiative, a 1L Scholars program, and special programming for members through CLE presentations and other platforms.
