Vivian de las Cuevas-Diaz Honored with UHealth Red Cross Service Award

MIAMI (November 19, 2018) – Holland & Knight Partner Vivian de las Cuevas-Diaz was honored by the Greater Miami & The Keys Chapter of the American Red Cross at its 25th Annual Sara Hopkins Woodruff Spectrum Awards For Women Luncheon on November 16. The awards recognize outstanding women whose efforts have made significant contributions to the quality of life in South Florida.

Ms. de las Cuevas-Diaz received the UHealth Red Cross Service Award, recognizing her exceptional service to the community. She has served almost nine years on the board of directors of the Greater Miami & The Keys Chapter. She is also a board member of the Beacon Council, Coral Gables Community Foundation, Cuban American Bar Foundation, and Florida International School of Law. Ms. de las Cuevas-Diaz also serves on Florida's Federal Judicial Nominating Commission for the Southern District.

Eleven other prominent women were also honored for their commitment to Red Cross core values. More than 400 people attended the awards ceremony, which raised funds for the vital life-saving programs and services of the Greater Miami & The Keys chapter.

Ms. de las Cuevas-Diaz is a partner in Holland & Knight's Miami office and serves as deputy section leader of the firm's national Real Estate Section. She has experience representing developers in a range of projects, including land development, multifamily, condominium, office and single-family development and hotels. She also handles the financing for these types of developments.

In 2015, she was named one of South Florida's Top 20 Women in Law by the Daily Business Review and she was chosen by the South Florida Business Journalas one of its 2016 Influential Women.
