Kyrus L. Freeman Named Leadership Council on Legal Diversity Fellow

WASHINGTON, D.C. (February 19, 2020) – Holland & Knight Partner Kyrus L. Freeman has been selected to represent the firm as a member of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) 2020 class of Fellows, participating in a landmark program created to identify, train and advance the next generation of leaders in the legal profession.

According to LCLD president Robert J. Grey, Jr., the LCLD Fellows Program offers participants "a year-long, in-depth program devoted to relationship-building, in-person training, peer-group projects, and extensive contact with LCLD's top leadership and the best teachers in the business."

Founded in 2009, LCLD has grown to an organization of more than 320 corporate chief legal officers and law firm managing partners who are personally committed to creating a more diverse and inclusive legal profession. The LCLD Fellows Program, which has trained more than a 1,600 mid-career attorneys since 2011, is one of LCLD's most important initiatives.

Mr. Freeman is a Partner in the Washington, D.C., office of Holland & Knight. He is involved in numerous aspects of real estate development with a focus on land use, zoning and municipal law. Mr. Freeman advises property owners and residential, commercial, hotel and mixed-use developers in the regulatory review and approval processes. Mr. Freeman is recognized as a top attorney in his practice area by the Best Lawyers in America and was recently named among the Top 100 Lawyers in the District of Columbia by The National Black Lawyers.
