Kimberly A. Gardner to Join Holland & Knight as Chief Operating Officer

MIAMI (August 16, 2021) – Holland & Knight announced today that Kimberly A. Gardner will become its Chief Operating Officer on September 1.

Earlier this month the firm merged with Thompson & Knight, resulting in a combined firm with approximately 1,600 lawyers and other professionals in 31 offices. As of the end of 2020, Holland & Knight was ranked 38th based on total revenue on the AmLaw 200 list of the largest U.S. based law firms.

As COO, Ms. Gardner will oversee Holland & Knight's global financial and business operations and will work closely with the firm's other senior leaders on strategy development and implementation. She will report to Managing Partner Steven Sonberg.

Ms. Gardner's prior experience includes serving as a legal industry consultant, a global law firm executive at Shearman & Sterling (first as Chief Financial Officer and later as Executive Director), a business leader at two financial services firms and a management consultant at Deloitte. She earned her MBA at New York University.
