James Ashmore

James Ashmore is a corporate attorney in Holland & Knight's Dallas office. Mr. Ashmore focuses his practice on a variety of oil and gas matters.

Mr. Ashmore handles a wide range of corporate oil and gas issues, such as representing both buyers and sellers in leasehold acquisitions. In addition, Mr. Ashmore has a significant background in petroleum land management and energy transaction analysis.

Prior to joining Holland & Knight as an attorney, Mr. Ashmore was a summer associate in the firm's Dallas office. In this role, he gained experience assisting on oil and gas as well as finance matters.

While in law school, Mr. Ashmore worked in the Civil Practice Clinic and was a tutor for a first-year torts class. He also served as a comment editor for the Texas Tech Law Review.
