Anne Redcross Beehler

Anne Redcross Beehler is a litigator and trial attorney in Holland & Knight's Newport Beach and Los Angeles offices. Ms. Beehler has a broad-based practice, representing companies and high-net-worth individuals in high-stakes commercial disputes across the country, but with a focus on California and New York.

Clients describe Ms. Beehler as "not your typical litigator" – she is practical, thoughtful and business-minded. Ms. Beehler particularly enjoys acting as a counselor to clients, finding ways to minimize risk and litigation and presenting solutions with the bottom line in mind.

Ms. Beehler's business litigation experience includes matters of all types, including partnership disputes, corporate governance disputes, complex contract and fraud matters, theft of trade secret cases, claims under the state and federal securities laws, and qui tam and whistleblower actions. Ms. Beehler handles her cases from start to finish and has substantial experience trying cases in federal and state courts. She has first-chaired several trials and arbitrations and successfully defended verdicts in her clients' favor on appeal.

Much of Ms. Beehler's litigation practice focuses on the real estate industry, and she co-leads the Real Estate Disputes and Advocacy Team. She has represented lenders, landlords, tenants, developers, investors, real estate investment trusts (REITs), receivers and individuals in a range of disputes concerning real property, including distressed properties. As a "go to" for the real estate industry in the most significant disputes, Ms. Beehler is frequently sought to handle litigation – whether that means coming up with a creative negotiated solution or taking the case to trial. She has litigated to judgment numerous partition disputes, loan agreement disputes, acquisition/disposition disputes, corporate dissolution matters and commercial loan default actions.

In addition, Ms. Beehler has a busy receivership practice – often representing lenders and other types of businesses to obtain a receiver over a distressed asset, as well as representing receivers in their most complex cases in California.

Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Ms. Beehler was an attorney at an international law firm in its Irvine office. After law school, she clerked at the New York State Court of Appeals. While in law school, Ms. Beehler was a legal intern at the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York. In addition, she served on the editorial board of the New York University Environmental Law Journal.

Ms. Beehler spends significant time giving back to the community as well. She is a frequent volunteer with the Orange County Bar Association and participates on the legal advisory board of ALIGHT, an organization dedicated to helping survivors of human trafficking. Ms. Beehler also serves as co-chair for Holland & Knight's Women's Initiative in the Newport Beach office and is a co-chair for the office's Public and Charitable Service Committee.
