Overview

Roxanna Brahimy is a real estate attorney in Holland & Knight's New York office. Ms. Brahimy has experience with commercial lease disputes, lease drafting, landlord-tenant matters and construction disputes. In addition, she has extensive litigation experience in New York Housing Court and the state's Supreme Court.

Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Ms. Brahimy was an attorney at a Manhattan-based real estate firm, where she represented landlords and property developers in litigation.

After law school, Ms. Brahimy served as a law clerk for the Hon. David Cohen of the Civil Court of the City of New York.

During law school, Ms. Brahimy was a legal intern for the Guardianship Clinic of Yeshiva University's Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, as well as a legal intern in the litigation bureau of the New York State Office of the Attorney General.

Representative Experience

  • Represented a global hotel client in connection with an eviction of a long-term tenant
  • Regularly represents cooperative and condominium boards in connection with the operation of the property, analysis of governing documents and issues pertaining to residents
  • Regularly represents building owners in connection with the negotiation of contractor documents in connection with local law 11 façade work
  • Represented a cooperative board in a litigation against a contractor for faulty construction work
