Overview
Allison L. Carvalho is a litigation attorney in Holland & Knight's Boston office and a member of the Labor and Employment Group and Education Team. Ms. Carvalho focuses her practice on assisting private, public, nonprofit and educational employers with all aspects of labor and employment law and related litigation, as well as advising public and private educational institutions on a broad range of matters.
Prior to joining Holland & Knight as an attorney, Ms. Carvalho was a summer associate in the Boston office. She was also a judicial intern for the Honorable Judith Dein of the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts.
During law school, Ms. Carvalho earned a public interest excellence designation for providing more than 100 hours of pro bono legal work. This work included representing low-income residents in cases involving eviction defenses and landlord-tenant disputes through the Boston College Civil Litigation Clinic: Housing Justice and successfully advocating for a refugee in deportation proceedings through the Boston College Immigration Clinic.
Additionally, Ms. Carvalho won the Wendell F. Grimes Moot Court Competition for her advocacy on the interpretation of a federal employment statute. She also competed nationally on the Criminal Procedure Moot Court Team.
