Overview

Young Choi is an attorney in Holland and Knight's Newport Beach office and a member of the West Coast Litigation Practice Group. Ms. Choi focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation.

Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Ms. Choi was a trial attorney with the Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), which she joined through the department's honors program. As a trial attorney, she investigated and litigated federal employment discrimination matters. Ms. Choi also served on detail as an attorney advisor to the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), during which she helped draft the final rule of the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act (PWFA).

Following law school, Ms. Choi served as a law clerk to the Honorable James E. Graves Jr. of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and the Honorable Hilda G. Tagle of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas.

While in law school, Ms. Choi served as the executive online editor of the Columbia Law Review and actively competed in moot court.
