Overview

Paula Jiménez Nieva is a litigation attorney in Holland & Knight's Washington, D.C., office. Ms. Jiménez Nieva focuses her practice on commercial litigation spanning multiple industries, representing clients in state and federal courts, both locally and nationally.

In addition, Ms. Jiménez Nieva maintains an active pro bono practice on immigration matters and assists clients in accessing records via the federal Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and appealing adverse FOIA decisions.

Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Ms. Jiménez Nieva served as a summer associate at a leading law firm in Puerto Rico, where she worked on matters involving employment law, litigation and dispute resolution and corporate law, contributing to complex matters across a range of industries.

While in law school, Ms. Jiménez Nieva gained experience advocating and addressing barriers to justice for prisoners seeking civil redress for state mistreatment at the school's Access to Justice Clinic's Prisoner Civil Rights Division. She also served as executive production editor of the American Intellectual Property Law Association Quarterly Journal. In addition, Ms. Jiménez Nieva served as a Dean's Fellow, supporting the Fundamentals of Lawyering Program and faculty by teaching first-year law students crucial research, writing and analytical skills.
