Maxwell J. Johnson is a public affairs advisor in Holland & Knight's Nashville office, where he focuses his practice on government relations at the Tennessee state and Nashville metro levels.

Bringing a wealth of experience to his role, Mr. Johnson previously worked for a land use public affairs firm in Nashville, where he spent two years dedicated to the aggregate, renewable energy and sports facilities industries throughout the country. In this capacity, he adeptly guided clients through local and state government processes of gaining approval for their proposed development projects. His extensive background also includes three years of involvement with elected members of the Tennessee General Assembly. He served as a house clerk for the Tennessee House of Representatives, worked as a lobbying aide for a Nashville-based lobbying firm, and served as a political consultant for Tennessee Speaker of the House Cameron Sexton and the Tennessee House Republican Caucus.
