Overview

Nic Martell is an attorney in Holland & Knight's Nashville office, where he counsels an array of energy companies on various issues related to natural gas and electricity markets. Using his in-depth knowledge of Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) policy and regulations, Mr. Martell advises electric utilities, transmission developers, renewable energy companies and natural gas pipeline companies on complex regulatory matters before FERC and state utility commissions.

Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Mr. Martell was an attorney-advisor with FERC's Office of the General Counsel in the Energy Markets Section, where he advised the commission on issues associated with the commission's regulation of public utilities under the Federal Power Act and the Natural Gas Act.

Not yet admitted to the Tennessee Bar; admitted to the District of Columbia Bar only and practicing under the supervision of lawyers licensed to practice in Tennessee.
