Overview

Kristin Royal is a litigation and dispute resolution attorney in Holland & Knight's Orlando office. Ms. Royal focuses her practice on complex contract litigation, trade secret matters, business torts and class action defense.

Ms. Royal has substantial experience in complex commercial litigation. She has achieved significant victories for clients in state and federal courts, including obtaining injunctions to enforce restrictive covenants and protect trade secrets. In addition, she has secured favorable jury verdicts in federal court in business disputes, including in claims for breach of contract and tortious interference.

Prior to rejoining Holland & Knight, Ms. Royal was an attorney for a Florida-based boutique law firm focused on assisting the elderly and their families. Ms. Royal also served as a federal judicial law clerk to the Honorable Leslie Abrams Gardner of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Georgia. During her tenure as a clerk, she drafted numerous orders on dispositive motions, assisted the judge with several civil and criminal trials, and aided the judge in preparation to sit by designation on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.

While in law school, Ms. Royal served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Barbara J. Pariente of the Florida Supreme Court.
