Overview
Dakota Simmons is a healthcare regulatory and enforcement attorney in Holland & Knight's Houston office. Ms. Simmons advises clients in the healthcare industry on a variety of matters.
Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Ms. Simmons served as a legal intern with a leading academic medical center, a large nonprofit health system, and a compounding and outsourcing pharmacy, where she gained experience in a broad range of healthcare regulatory and compliance matters. She also interned in the Compliance and Revenue Division of the Harris County Attorney's Office, where she supported litigation and enforcement efforts.
While in law school, Ms. Simmons served as managing editor of the Corporate Counsel Review and vice president of the Health Law Society. She was also a member of the executive board of the Black Law Students Association and a competitor on the Alternative Dispute Resolution team.
