Overview

A. Kristi Soppet is a Houston litigation attorney who practices complex commercial and civil litigation in both state and federal courts.

Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Ms. Soppet served as a judicial law clerk to U.S. Magistrate Judge Wallace Capel Jr. in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Alabama, where she managed both a civil and a criminal docket, drafted orders, opinions and recommendations, and advised the court on complex legal issues.

During law school, Ms. Soppet was a judicial intern to U.S. District Judge Timothy J. Corrigan in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida and a legal intern with the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Middle District of Florida. She was also the senior articles editor of the Florida Coastal Law Review, a member of both the Moot Court Honor Board and the Mock Trial Team, and a teaching assistant for legal research and writing.
