Teresa J. Walker

Teresa Walker brings the perspective of a former law firm chief operating officer (COO) to helping high-net-worth families run their private trust companies. As director of Tennessee Private Trust Services, a Holland & Knight subsidiary, she can assist with asset management, board operations such as serving in corporate officer and assistant trust officer roles, reporting and administration solutions that support long-term family stewardship.

Based in Nashville, Teresa directs services that include operational aspects of operating a Tennessee private trust company. Tennessee Private Trust Services also plans and facilitates private trust company meetings, supporting families through the ongoing work of running their trust companies.

Teresa brings a long career in legal industry management to the role. She previously served for many years as COO of a 225-attorney law firm in the Southeast, giving her firsthand perspective on the operational and administrative demands of a large professional organization.

Her leadership extends across the legal management profession. Teresa was inducted as a fellow of the College of Law Practice Management and served on its board of trustees and executive committee. She also served six years on the board of the Association of Legal Administrators, including as president, and received the association's Outstanding Association Volunteer Award. She also serves an organization that is educating corporate legal department operational professionals and growing the legal operations ecosystem.

Teresa is a Certified Legal Manager (CLM) through the Association of Legal Administrators and a certified Legal Project Associate (LPA) through the International Institute of Legal Project Management. Together, these credentials and her operating experience give families an organized, experienced partner in the long-term stewardship of their private trust companies.
