William (Liam) Walsh

William "Liam" Walsh represents trustees, professional trust companies, beneficiaries, heirs, executors, personal representatives and other interested parties in high-stakes probate and fiduciary litigation. Based in Boston and also admitted to the New York bar, Liam helps clients navigate contested trust and estate matters, protect their interests and resolve complex disputes involving fiduciary relationships and family wealth. He brings a trial lawyer's perspective to his private wealth services practice and assists clients with matters across the country.

Liam handles a wide range of trust and estate disputes, including breach of fiduciary duty actions, trust and will contests, inheritance interference claims and contested accountings. He regularly advises clients through all stages of litigation, from pre-suit strategy and risk assessment to trial and appeal.

His practice is concentrated in the probate and family courts and the superior courts in Massachusetts, where he represents clients in their most consequential trust and estate disputes. Liam also handles appellate matters and frequently collaborates with local counsel to coordinate litigation and trust and estate proceedings in various jurisdictions.

Before joining Holland & Knight, Liam practiced as a trial attorney in a boutique law firm setting, where he provided litigation and risk management counsel on a variety of complex matters.
