National Healthcare & Life Sciences Team Chair Maria Currier will speak at a Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce seminar titled, A Business Perspective on the 2010 Health Care Legislation.
In March 2010, President Obama signed into law the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) as well as an amendment to the PPACA called the Health Care and Education Affordability Reconciliation Act of 2010 (HCEARA), also known as the reconciliation bill.
This federal legislation is bringing widespread reform to health care in our country and with it comes many questions and uncertainties. Panelists will discuss specifics pertaining to human resources, accounting and the legal ramifications of the legislation.
