Holland & Knight will sponsor a program titled "U.S. Bankruptcy Issues for the Maritime Industry." Jim Hohenstein, practice group leader of the Maritime Practice Group, and John Monaghan, practice group leader of the Bankruptcy, Restructuring and Creditors' Rights Practice Group, will present at Session 1. 

John and Maritime Partner Jovi Tenev will present at Session 2.

Mr. Hohenstein, Mr. Monaghan and Mr. Tenev will discuss U.S. bankruptcy issues impacting the maritime industry. Topics will include:

Can a foreign ship-owning entity establish and maintain jurisdiction in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court?
Can a lender avoid the jurisdiction of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court?
What impact, if any, could a U.S. Bankruptcy case have on a lender's security and its right to realize upon that security?
