2013 Hotel & Lodging Legal Summit

Holland & Knight is pleased to sponsor the 2013 Hotel & Lodging Legal Summit. The program is co-sponsored with the American Hospitality and Lodging Association and will examine the latest trends, cases and developments affecting the evolving practice of hospitality law. Real Estate Partner Stuart Saft and General Counsel Mike Chapman will speak on two panels.

Mr. Saft will speak on a panel titled "Residential and Mixed-Use Projects: Lessons Learned from the Crash." Topics will include:

• recent transaction experiences from developer and operator perspectives

Mr. Chapman will speak on a panel titled "Real Ethics of Hotel Country" that will focus on:

• "real life" ethics scenarios encountered by hotel counsel
• avoiding divided loyalties for an attorney between a parent company and a subsidiary adverse to the parent
• what attorney-client privilege attaches to a disgruntled employee's communication sent from a company e-mail
• applications of ABA Model Rules of Professional Conduct 1.6, 1.7, 1.8, 1.13, 4.2, and 4.3
