President Joe Biden signed into law the Stop Campus Hazing Act (the Act) on December 24, 2024. The Act amends the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, renames it the Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Act, and adds new requirements for the gathering and publication of hazing-related information and the implementation of anti-hazing policy and prevention programming. The Act represents the largest expansion of Clery Act obligations in a decade. Some of its requirements demand the immediate attention of covered colleges and universities.

Please join Partners Miriam McKendall and Jeffrey Nolan of Holland & Knight's Education Team and Jim Moore, Senior Advisor for Clery Act Compliance and Campus Safety Operations at the U.S. Department of Education, for a webinar presentation to explore the following topics:

  • defining hazing and student organizations
  • requirements for disclosures in Annual Security Reports
  • requirements for publishing the Campus Hazing Transparency Report
  • requirements for policy and prevention programs on hazing
  • steps to consider for covered colleges and universities

We hope you can join us for this important discussion.
