The 2025 Legal Ethics Year in Review: News You Can Use
Holland & Knight and Adams & Reese Webinar
They're back! Legal ethics attorney Trisha Rich and Lucian Pera of Adams & Reese team up again this December to bring you their incisive take on the most important and interesting ethics and lawyering developments of the year.
Yes, their take can be idiosyncratic (some might say snarky), but it's lively and deeply substantive, with something for lawyers in every practice area, for solos and BigLaw lawyers, with real-world examples and up-to-date advice on how courts and disciplinary authorities today are interpreting and applying the rules of professional conduct.
In just one action-packed hour, you’ll get current on the latest guidance from ABA and state and local ethics opinions and court decisions from all over on a wide range of topics, including:
- Conflicts of interest in joint representation and arising from prospective clients
- Attorney-client privilege in internal investigations, employee-employee communications, and hot documents
- Judicial speech by artificial intelligence (AI) avatars and YouTube dissents
- New law firm and legal-service delivery business models, from alternative business structures (ABSs) to management service organizations (MSOs)
- The real-world risks of lawyer blogging
- All of the ABA's 2025 ethics opinions, ranging from lawyer due diligence on clients to discriminatory juror strikes to withdrawal
- The continuing crisis in AI lawyer misconduct
Trisha and Lucian will take live questions, and all registrants will receive downloadable course materials to accompany the program.
