10th Annual National Clean Energy Week Policymakers Symposium

Energy Senior Policy Advisors Beth Viola and Sydney Bopp will speak during the Policymakers Symposium, part of the 2026 edition of National Clean Energy Week. The two-day forum features presentations from elected officials, business leaders, policy professionals and investors about clean energy advancements, goals, projects and more.

Beth will join a "crystal ball" discussion previewing top-of-mind issues for the 120th Congress, specifically focusing on energy, climate and tax policy. Speakers will examine how the U.S. can maintain its position as a global energy super power and how market volatility, competition and geopolitical events affect energy producers and consumers.

Sydney's session will explore how the lack of a stable federal energy policy hinders the country's ability to build an advanced energy system, despite having the capital, technology and demand to move projects forward. Panelists will explain how policy instability leads to repriced risks, tightened finances, delayed infrastructure and, ultimately, lost jobs and reduced competitive standing. They will then outline what the private sector needs from the federal government to deploy capital at scale and keep projects on pace.
