Sydney Bopp is a senior public affairs advisor in Holland & Knight's Washington, D.C., office and has more than 10 years of public service at the state and federal levels.
Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Ms. Bopp was the associate director for technology policy at a Washington, D.C.–based bipartisan think tank. She also served in a number of roles at the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), including with the Loan Programs Office (LPO), where she led business development for more than $40 billion of remaining loan authority for innovative clean energy projects, advanced vehicle manufacturing projects and tribal energy development. In addition, Ms. Bopp served at the White House's Council on Environmental Quality, where she worked on guidance for federal agency sustainability planning and monitoring.
Prior to federal service, Ms. Bopp served as a legislative aide to the chairman of the House Committee on Global Warming and Climate Change in the Massachusetts state legislature. Her work supported the Commonwealth's climate policy efforts that focused on energy development and infrastructure, natural resources and agriculture, transportation, energy efficiency, waste management and emerging technologies.
