Holland & Knight Lawyers Named Georgia Super Lawyers – Rising Stars for 2006

ATLANTA – Holland & Knight is pleased to announce that three lawyers in the firm's Atlanta office have been selected as Georgia Super Lawyers – Rising Stars for 2006.

Super Lawyers – Rising Stars names Georgia's top lawyers age 40 or younger as chosen by their peers and through the independent research of Law & Politics. The top 2.5 percent of Georgia lawyers are chosen as Super Lawyers – Rising Stars. The list is published in the October issues of Atlanta magazine and in Georgia Super Lawyers – Rising Stars Edition.

Holland & Knight attorneys honored as Georgia Super Lawyers – Rising Stars for 2006 are:

Susan Eichler Edlein practices in both general commercial litigation and tort litigation. She is co-chair of the firmwide Real Estate Litigation Team and devotes a substantial part of her practice to real estate litigation, including landlord/tenant disputes, zoning issues, mortgage fraud and title disputes. Edlein also has substantial experience in various types of tort cases, primarily defending corporations against product liability claims and various other personal injury actions. She also has experience with bankruptcy, general commercial litigation and environmental litigation.

Robert S. Highsmith, Jr. practices legislative, administrative, and regulatory law, government relations, and litigation. He serves as national Team Leader for the firm’s State Capitals Team, and leads the firm’s Georgia government relations practice.  He represents clients before the Georgia General Assembly and before state and local government agencies, with a particular focus on the Department of Insurance and the Department of Community Health.  He also has extensive experience in public policy litigation, representing both governmental entities and private parties.

Howard S. Hirsch practices in the areas of securities law and commercial transactions, general corporate law and mergers and acquisitions. He has represented clients in public securities offerings, private placements, SEC reporting, Blue Sky compliance and mergers and acquisitions. Hirsch also advises clients on state health care regulatory matters in various states and also has previous litigation experience. He is licensed to practice law in the states of Georgia, Illinois and Indiana.
