Litigation attorneys Andrew Balthazor and Jose Casal co-authored an article featured in the Insolvency and Restructuring International that considers a recent decision by the New York Supreme Court to permit the use of a non-fungible token (NFT) to notify defendants of a lawsuit against them. The authors argue this will be a key mechanism for serving anonymous and evasive defendants in the blockchain space in the future.
