Duck, You Sucker! Avoiding the Nigerian Check Scam

Birmingham attorneys Larry Childs and Brant Biddle wrote an article for the March edition of The Alabama Lawyer Magazine on the rising issue of scammers using counterfeit checks to scam law firm for legal assistance. Mr. Childs and Mr. Biddle discuss the risks of the "Nigerian check scam" and the limited recourse available to law firms that deposit these counterfeit checks.
