Top Madoff Aide's Testimony May Help Both Sides

Frank DiPascali, the former finance chief to Bernard Madoff, is testifying against five former co-workers who were charged with aiding the Ponzi scheme. Mr. DiPascali has detailed aspects of the fraud that could help both the defense and prosecution.

"He's building his credibility with the jury by admitting he lied, and also telling them, 'Here's what happened,' " said Litigation Partner William Shepherd, who has no involvement in the case.
