Tribune Media Merger Faces Justice Scrutiny

The Department of Justice requested more information after Sinclair Broadcast Group proposed the acquisition of Tribune Media in May. There were concerns regarding the merged company having too much control in the broadcaster' markets.

"There certainly are times when the DOJ competition concerns might call for some divestitures that the FCC process might not demand," said Antitrust Attorney David Kully.
