Partner Rich Gold, leader of the Public Policy and Regulation Group, was interviewed about donations to law firm PACs by Law360. Law firm PACs have contributed $13.1 million to both individual federal candidates and party committees leading up to the 2018 Midterm elections. Mr. Gold discussed how law firms can build their reputation as an integral member of their communities by maintaining these PACs and that PACs can demonstrate how engaged a law firm is in their community's issues.
“It’s a competitive advantage for the firm because we’re woven into the fabric of those cities in a way I don’t think other firms are. When you are out there and engaged in the community, that’s how new business happens.” Mr. Gold said.
