Whataburger Says it Plans to 'Explore Our Options' Including a Potential Sale

Beloved Texas fast-food chain Whataburger confirmed this week that it's exploring options to expand the company, which could potentially include a sale. ...Amy Curtis of the Dallas law firm Thompson & Knight says Whataburger is a healthy company by all known measures, which means the Journal's report could prove to be positive for the chain. "As opposed to looking at a complete sale of the company, they might be looking for a way to raise some additional capital to assist with expansion," said Curtis, who has experience with mergers and acquisitions.
