3 Fla. Managing Partners on Their Forecast for 2023
Litigation attorney Bill Shepherd, who serves as the executive partner of Holland & Knight's West Palm Beach office, spoke to Law360 about the firm's success in Florida and what it hopes to accomplish in 2023. Mr. Shepherd predicted that the office will continue to grow organically as a result of financial services firms relocating from New York to South Florida. Mr. Shepherd said that many of the West Palm Beach offices are litigators, increasing the competition for talent in the market. He stated that his office provides unique BigLaw experience, which creates an offer that other offices cannot match.
"Our footprint in Florida is such that we're in every major market and we've been there for 30 years," Mr. Shepherd said. "Now that Florida's business community is growing, we're already well positioned, but all it is just an opportunity to have the conversation — you still have to perform."
