DC Firms Seek Ex-Capitol Hill Attys as Oversight Heat Grows

Public Policy & Regulation Group Leader Rich Gold spoke with Law360 about the expected ramp-up in congressional investigations now that Republicans have taken control of the House. As the new Congress kicks off, House Republicans have laid out a robust investigative agenda, including public hearings on issues ranging from Big Tech to corporate environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) policies. Mr. Gold commented on how law firms are reacting to the expected uptick in investigative activity.
"It will be interesting to see how they move forward and how aggressive they are, but I think we're all anticipating that congressional investigations will be one of the main business generators for the next two years," said Mr. Gold.
