2023's Class of 40 Under 40: Michael M. Gropper of Holland & Knight LLP

Litigation attorney Michael Gropper was interviewed by the Jacksonville Business Journal about his recent recognition as one of this year’s recipients of the 40 Under 40 Award. Mr. Gropper spoke about his biggest accomplishments in his career, his leadership in his position, how he plans on helping next-generation leaders and his involvement in the Jacksonville community. 

“I try to contribute to the community in ways that leverage my skills as an attorney and the connections I have made,” he said. “I have, for years, been part of our firm’s pro bono focus. In connection with that initiative, I have assisted military service members and their families with disputes.” 

When asked what he thinks the community needs to do more to shape the next generation, Mr. Gropper focused his response to the COVID-19 pandemic, going on to say we need more human interaction and mentorship in order to grow both personally and professionally. 

“It is important that we devise ways to create and maintain community and continue to connect in person with colleagues to form bonds and develop relationships,” he said.
