Property Giants: Onni's Los Angeles Tower
West Coast Land Use and Environment attorney Ryan Leaderman was quoted in a Law360 article discussing the Onni Group's residential tower at Olympic Boulevard and Hill Street in downtown Los Angeles being cleared a pre-pandemic challenge from multiple labor unions to get to the construction phase. The article explains that Onni originally proposed the tower in 2017, but the company was unable to begin construction because of the lack of allowable density required to build a tower of this size in downtown.
"It's exceptionally exciting to see some green shoots in DTLA after the devastation of the past few years," said Mr. Leaderman, who helped Onni with several other projects prior to joining Holland & Knight. He has not advised on the tower at Olympic and Hill.
