4 Key Complications 3 Years After Pillar 2

Tax attorney Joshua Odintz was quoted in a Law360 article about key complications emerging three years after the agreement on the global minimum corporate tax system known as Pillar Two. The article discussed several challenges countries and multinational corporations face as they implement the new tax regime, including keeping up with evolving guidance, navigating new reporting requirements, addressing tensions with existing U.S. tax laws and preparing for potential disputes related to the undertaxed profits rule (UTPR). Mr. Odintz highlighted the need for timely updates to the treatment of Research and Development (R&D) tax credits under Pillar Two.

"But if the change is going to be made, it needs to be made soon" he said.
