Rich Gold, leader of the firm's Public Policy & Regulation Group, was recently quoted in the Daily Business Review discussing the complex landscape of modern government relations issues for businesses. He explained that while tax concerns were once paramount, today's challenges extend to a broader array of social and economic questions, such as facility location and risk management, and companies have to navigate a number of legislative developments and processes. Mr. Gold also noted the increasing demand for political risk management in the C-suite driven by evolving social and economic issues, as well as talked about the firm's growth amid the heightened need for government practices.
"A lot of those issues can be social issues. But there's certainly economic issues as well. Where are you building your new facility? Are you building it in Europe? Are you building it in the U.S.? How do you manage risk if it's not in the U.S.? All those types of issues are front and center," he said.
