Tax attorney Juan Pablo Díaz was cited in an article published by Asuntos Legales about the legal obligation of children to provide support to their parents in a state of need in Colombia. Mr. Díaz explained how the judicial process works and the requirements that must be demonstrated for such a payment to be established.
"The parent can legally request the establishment of a support payment in their favor and charged to their children, as long as they demonstrate their state of need and the children's financial capacity to cover their basic needs," he said.
