Summer Associate Programs Have Started in Miami, Here's What Firms Have to Say About Recruiting

Miami Partner Eduardo Ramos was interviewed for a Daily Business Review article about how law firms in Miami are shaping their summer associate programs to attract top talent and provide meaningful professional development. The article highlighted Holland & Knight's approach of giving summer associates broad exposure to a range of practice areas, allowing them to explore different types of work while receiving mentorship and support throughout their time with the firm. Mr. Ramos, who has led the office's program for the past six years, emphasized that this model helps students better understand their interests and build confidence as they gain hands-on experience – and has helped Holland & Knight's South Florida program rank at the top of Law.com's annual Summer Associate Survey.

"To me, it's about the exposure, because they're able, through this summer program, to experience and explore different practice areas with a safety net, because we're always there to catch them, to help them along the process," he said.
