About the Los Angeles County Bar Foundation: For more than forty years, the Foundation has been at the forefront of supporting equal access to legal services for disadvantaged members of the Los Angeles community, by raising money through the financial support of law firms, foundations, corporations, and individual lawyers throughout the area, and distributing grants to worthy legal services organizations in Los Angeles County. Four -esteemed projects operated by the Los Angeles County Bar Association receive significant annual grants from the Foundation. These projects include: The Barristers AIDS Legal Services Project; The Barristers Domestic Violence Legal Services Project; The Immigration Legal Assistance Project; and Dispute Resolution Services, Inc. Other grants recipients are small, grass roots community legal organizations which do not enjoy the benefits that name recognition lends to a solicitation effort.
