Jacob Baron Joins Holland & Knight as Senior Counsel
BOSTON – March 1, 2012 – Holland & Knight is pleased to announce that Jacob K. Baron has joined the firm's Intellectual Property Practice Group as senior counsel. Based in the Boston office, Baron will continue to focus on representing high-tech companies in intellectual property disputes and counseling on intellectual property matters.
With over a decade of experience litigating patent disputes, Baron has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in courts across the country, including the Eastern District of Texas, the District of Delaware, the Northern and Southern Districts of California, and the United States International Trade Commission.
Drawing from his engineering background and his passion for technology, Baron has worked with a broad range of technologies, including voice over IP (VoIP), machine vision, computer software, power amplifiers, telecommunications routing, automobile navigation systems, flat panel displays, antihypertensive and heart failure medications, and general pharmaceutical formulation.

Baron graduated magna cum laude from the Wentworth Institute of Technology and received his J.D. degree from the Boston College Law School. Prior to joining Holland & Knight, he was a senior associate with Proskauer Rose LLP. Baron was named a "Super Lawyer Rising Star" in Intellectual Property Litigation from 2009 - 2011.
